Your child-safety checks and training
If you teach Sunday School, help with youth activities, or hold any role that works with children, your ecclesia needs a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) on file for you, and — for Sunday School teachers — the child-safety online training. This guide shows how to see what you need and supply it yourself, from your own account.
Reading time: about three minutes.
See what you need
Open My child-safety checks (from your profile or the link in a reminder). At the top, What you need lists each thing you’re required to hold — a current check, the training, or both — and whether each is on file or still outstanding, with a short note on why it’s needed. If you’re in no child-facing role, this list is empty and there’s nothing to do.

Supply your working-with-children check
Use Submit or renew (or Supply it on a request). Enter the check’s number and expiry date, pick what it’s for (the purpose), and read the short declaration — you confirm the details are correct and the check is yours by typing your name. Submit, and it goes to your ecclesia’s child-safety officer to verify against the issuing register. Until then your record shows as awaiting verification; a renewal of a check you already hold keeps the current one in force until the new one is verified.
Your number is stored securely and shown back only to you (and masked elsewhere), so it’s safe to enter.

Complete and record the online training
For the training, the checklist row gives you two things: Complete the training opens the course on the provider’s site, and — once you’ve finished — Record my completion tells CDRoster you’ve done it. The training has no card number, so you’re only asked for the date you completed it and when it’s due to be renewed. That’s it — the row turns to on file and your teachers list stops flagging you.

Staying current
CDRoster reminds you before a check or your training expires, so you can renew in good time. When you get a reminder, open My child-safety checks and repeat the step above for whatever is due — supply the renewed check, or record the refreshed training. Keeping these current is what keeps you cleared for your roles.
